Privacy Policy

This says what we store, why, and for how long — written from the actual database, not from a template. Short version: we know who you are because Apple tells us, we record what was watched because creators are paid for watch time, and we never sell or share data for advertising. There is no ad tracking of any kind.
What we store, and why
- Your identity. Sign in with Apple gives us a stable identifier and, if you share it, your name and email (Apple’s private relay is fine). We store no passwords.
- Viewing. Which experiences were played, for how long, and whether the view qualified for creator payment. Creators see totals about their work — never who watched.
- Purchases. Apple processes all payments; we never see card numbers. We store Apple’s transaction identifiers and what they unlock, because that record is your access to what you bought.
- Creators. Application details — legal name, contact email, channel, work sample — plus which agreement versions you accepted and when, review decisions, and an audit trail of account actions. Payout details (bank account, tax information) go directly to Stripe; we store only your Stripe account id and whether payouts are enabled.
- Video. Experiences are stored and streamed by Cloudflare. Uploaded masters keep the technical metadata your camera wrote (resolution, codec, capture time); we read it for review and playback, and it stays private to you and to us.
Who touches it
Four processors, each for one job: Apple (sign-in, payments), Supabase (the database), Cloudflare (video storage and streaming), Stripe (creator payouts). Invitation and review emails are sent through Resend. Nobody else, and nobody for advertising. We disclose data beyond this only if the law requires it.
Deleting your account
Delete your account in the app and your profile and personal details go with it. Two things survive, deliberately:
- Purchase records, kept against Apple’s anonymous per-app identifier — neither your name nor your email — so that if you ever return with the same Apple Account, the experiences you paid for are still yours. Apple never restores consumable purchases; this record is the only copy of that fact.
- Aggregated viewing counts, no longer connected to you, because creators’ historical statistics should not change when a viewer leaves.
A creator’s published work is removed from the catalogue on account deletion; copies people lawfully bought remain playable to them.

Ask us what we hold about you, ask for corrections, or ask for deletion beyond the automatic path above: questions@watchvisiontheater.com. We answer within 30 days. If you are in a jurisdiction with statutory data rights (GDPR, CCPA and kin), those rights apply and this address is where to exercise them.
Changes
Changes are posted here with a new version date; material changes are announced in the app before they take effect.
